The Major Burner now comes in four versions. Like all the versions, the original model Major Burner is a double burner. It has a Minor Burner (see above) that is mounted just above a large 64 fuel port burner. Each is controlled separately and not at the same time. The Major Burner-P model differs in that instead of using a Minor Burner on top, there is a pre-mix burner. The pre-mix burner comes with two different interchangeable tips and an adapter which will allow you to use any of the pre-mix National tips listed below. The Major Burner-B is just like the regular Major Burner, except that the large 64 fuel port bottom burner has 16 of its ports blocked out in the center section leaving 48 holes. The reason for this is that it allows the flame to have about the same width as the 64 fuel port version while having a cleaner flame quality, and cleaner and cooler burner face at a flame length that virtually everyone uses on the regular Major Burner. The Major Burner-PB has a pre-mix top burner mounted above the blocked 48 fuel port bottom burner. We recommend the Major Burner-B for flameworkers that use soft or soft and hard glass and the Major Burner-PB for hard glass flameworkers. Uses 5/16" BC Hose Set.

The Red Max's bottom flame is comparable to the Major Burner's bottom flame in size, but it is round in shape instead of square and it is a much more forceful flame than the Major Burner's fluffier flame. The Red Max also tends to require less cleaning. The Red Max model has a Minor Burner (see above) that is mounted just above the large bottom burner.
